Our Mission

Dr Craig Dunn & Associates Psychology Services is an HCPC-registered private psychology practice in Glasgow, based at 14 Newton Terrace in the West End (G3 7PJ). Our mission is to provide impactful, ethically-grounded mental health care that empowers individuals at every stage of life — adults, children, young people, families, and those who care for them.

We believe that high-quality psychological therapy should be accessible to anyone who needs it, not only those who can comfortably afford private fees. Everything we do — from how we recruit our clinicians to how we structure our pricing and partnerships — is shaped by that commitment.

Why we exist

Demand for psychological therapy in Scotland consistently outstrips what NHS services can provide, and private therapy remains out of reach for many people who would benefit most. We exist to bridge that gap.

Our team of HCPC-registered psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors and trainee practitioners offers evidence-based therapy across a wide range of needs — from anxiety, depression and trauma to schema therapy, EMDR, child therapy and clinical supervision for fellow professionals.

Alongside standard private therapy, our low-cost-therapy programme offers pay-what-you-can sessions from £30 for adults on lower incomes and full-time students. We also partner with social work services in Glasgow to support adoptive and foster families through trauma-informed, attachment-focused care.

Our values

Four values guide every clinical and operational decision we make.

  • Empathy. We are committed to offering mental health support with a focus on meaningful human connection and positive, lasting change.

  • Care. We prioritise positive client outcomes in everything we do, creating an environment where clients of any age feel safe, valued and respected.

  • Integrity. We are honest and transparent in our communication, our pricing, and the way we represent our clinicians' qualifications and experience.

  • Quality. We strive to deliver consistent, excellent psychological therapy to clients from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Our goals

These are the practical commitments that turn our values into action across our team of associates.

  • Increase access. Expand access to high-quality mental health care for children, families and adults — including those who would otherwise face cost or waiting-list barriers.

  • Drive collaboration. Build an integrated support model that partners with NHS services, GPs, social work, schools and Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) to increase public access to evidence-based therapy.

  • Strengthen awareness. Use our website, training events and social media to deepen public understanding of mental health and reduce the stigma around seeking help.

  • Cultivate professional excellence. Foster a culture in which our psychologists, psychotherapists and trainees can deliver personalised, ethically-grounded care across their careers — supported by structured supervision, peer reflection and continuing professional development.

What this means in practice

In practical terms, our mission shapes the way we structure care. Every new enquiry begins with an initial assessment with our Assistant Psychologist (£30) so each client is matched with the therapist and approach best suited to their needs, rather than the first one available.

We offer therapy in person at our Charing Cross practice and online across the UK, with options designed to fit different life stages, financial circumstances and clinical needs. Our pricing is published transparently on each service page, and we never charge a referral or "matching" fee on top of session costs.
