Sarah Copeland

Hello! My name is Sarah and I am a practice assistant. 

 

I am from Glasgow and hold a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from the University of St Andrews. I am currently completing a Master’s conversion degree in Psychology at the University of Glasgow. Alongside my studies, I work in brain injury rehabilitation, supporting patients with neurological conditions and traumatic brain injuries. I also have previous experience in people management and business operations. 

 

I aspire to a career in counselling psychology, with a particular interest in supporting people to overcome complex trauma. I have interests in neuropsychology, mental health, and the relationship between the brain, behaviour and wellbeing. I am also passionate about emerging approaches to therapy, including technology-assisted and stroboscopic therapies. My previous research explored prenatal programming of behaviour and optogenetics.

 

In my role at the practice, I work closely with Dr Saskia Groh, supporting research for presentations and treatment planning, as well as the development of supervision
