Specialist Psychological Referral Pathways for EAP Providers

We are a Glasgow-based mental health social enterprise providing high-quality psychological therapy to adults, children and families. We work collaboratively with Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs), occupational health teams and workplace wellbeing services to offer clear, ethical referral pathways when employees require support beyond brief or low-intensity interventions.

Many EAP services encounter employees whose needs are complex, longstanding or relational in nature, and who may not be best supported through time-limited sessions alone. Our service offers a safe and clinically robust onward pathway for these individuals, ensuring continuity of care while supporting EAP providers to work within appropriate clinical boundaries.

We provide individual psychological therapy for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, attachment-related difficulties and work-related stress. Our clinicians are experienced in working with complex presentations and are able to offer both short-term focused therapy and longer-term psychological work where clinically indicated. This allows EAP providers to confidently refer employees knowing that care will be proportionate, ethical and evidence-informed.

A key strength of our service is our systemic understanding of mental health. We recognise that employee wellbeing is closely linked to family life, caregiving responsibilities and parenting stress. Where relevant, we support parents to better understand their children’s emotional and behavioural needs, reducing ongoing stressors that impact workplace functioning, attendance and wellbeing.

We are embedded within local health and social care systems, with established referral pathways involving GPs and social services. This ensures strong clinical governance, effective risk management and clear onward pathways should additional support be required. EAP partners benefit from knowing that employees referred to our service are supported within a wider network of care.

As a social enterprise, we operate a mixed-income model that allows us to maintain accessibility alongside high clinical standards. We offer low-cost therapy options for individuals who are unemployed or in full-time education, and income from private and employer-linked referrals helps sustain this wider social impact. This aligns well with the values and ethical commitments of many EAP providers.

We also contribute to the sustainability of the mental health workforce by offering high-quality clinical placements for trainee therapists, supported by experienced supervisors and clear governance structures. This increases service capacity while maintaining safety and quality.

We welcome conversations with EAP providers seeking a reliable, values-led referral partner for employees requiring specialist psychological support, whether as part of stepped-care pathways or longer-term wellbeing strategies.
